Griffin Internet Entrusts Customer Data to EqualLogic

LONDON, 13th March 2006 - EqualLogic, the leading provider of complete, enterprise-class iSCSI storage area network (SAN) solutions, today announces it is supporting Griffin Internet's newly-launched on demand managed storage offering, SANServe. The implementation was managed by long-standing reseller Infrasys and EqualLogic distributor ConsolidateIT.

Griffin Internet, which is listed in the Sunday Times Tech Track 100, recently launched SANServe to offer its customers dedicated hosting services with a level of reliability and scalability never before available. The SAN will also store the thousands of voicemails and telephone records that its customers generate daily. Griffin Internet has installed three EqualLogic PS200E arrays, with a total capacity of 16TB, in its datacentres in London, Derby and Leicester.

The self-managing EqualLogic SAN continually backs up data across the three locations, ensuring total business continuity for customers backing up business critical data to SANServe. EqualLogic's unique PeerStorage technology allows storage and performance to scale to meet Griffin Internet's rapidly growing business. Administrators can install additional arrays "on the fly", without needing to take the SAN offline at any time.
