EqualLogic Achieves Certification in Symantec Technology Enabled Program
London, March 7, 2006 - EqualLogic®, a leading provider of complete, enterprise-class iSCSI storage area network (SAN) solutions, today announced it has received certification in the Symantec Technology Enabled Program. EqualLogic is among the first iSCSI SAN vendors to achieve certification in the program, which is designed to offer mutual customers seamless integration and support for increased performance and cost savings within storage environments.
The Symantec Technology Enabled Program will provide EqualLogic with tools, information and support to help ensure critical compatibility with Veritas Storage Foundation and Veritas Cluster Server now from Symantec. Veritas Storage Foundation combines Veritas Volume Manager and Veritas File System to provide a complete solution for online storage management. Veritas Cluster Server is ideal for reducing planned and unplanned downtime, facilitating server consolidation and effectively managing a wide range of applications.
EqualLogic's PS Series SAN is tested and certified to work with the Veritas Storage Foundation High Availability solutions in Sun Solaris environments, which traditionally host critical applications such as ERP systems and data warehouses for large enterprises. EqualLogic and Symantec also provide support for storage multipathing that offers high levels of reliability at the network path level.
