EqualLogic Appoints Netherlands Country Manager to Further Expand European Operations

•  Harry Wilmink Joins EqualLogic to Drive Aggressive Sales Programme and Build Channel Partnerships in the Regions

LONDON, 5th September 2006, EqualLogic, a leading provider of complete, enterprise-class iSCSI storage area network (SAN) solutions, today announced the appointment of Harry Wilmink as country manager for the Benelux. Harry will drive an aggressive sales programme and build partnerships with resellers and distributors throughout the Benelux region in support of EqualLogic’s aggressive international growth strategy.

Wilmink will support EqualLogic’s ongoing expansion in the region, and his appointment reflects the company’s significant growth worldwide; it has maintained a 40 percent sequential quarterly sales increase over the last three years and has added 265 new customers in the second quarter 2006 alone.

A significant focus for EqualLogic’s European operation is the development of its global channel network, which currently includes 450 partners worldwide accounting for more than 90 percent of the company's revenue.

EqualLogic’s newly launched PS400E, the first iSCSI storage array to employ the 750 gigabyte Barracuda ES enterprise SATA disks from Seagate, and its latest firmware, Version 3.0, are gaining great traction in the channel allowing partners to offer a range of iSCSI solutions to suit each customer’s needs. Wilmink will take advantage of this interest to secure new relationships with specialist resellers within the Benelux, leveraging their expertise in regional markets.

Wilmink brings significant experience both within the storage market and in driving storage business growth.  Prior to his role with EqualLogic, he spent three years at Hitachi Data Systems Netherlands heading up sales.  Before that Wilmink worked for eight years at EMC as sales and account manager.

On joining EqualLogic, Harry Wilmink comments: “EqualLogic is becoming the leader in the iSCSI marketplace, and its vision for the future of storage-based iSCSI SANs is too strong to ignore. We are currently driving our position in the Dutch market through a two-tier distribution model with distribution partners Consolidate IT and GE Access and will in the next month launch into the Belgium market.” He adds: “Harry joins EqualLogic at a very exciting time. He has extensive experience in the storage market, and we are certain of his ability to drive new business in the Benelux market.”
